You can already put the Patent Run 2007 in your agenda: it will be on Thursday 21/06/2007 during the Amicale festivity week. If you want to improve your 2006 time on the race or just participate, it is time to start to train. Think about joining the Run4Fun groups and training with them, and/or advertise those groups to the colleagues who might be interested. Get inspired: Marathon season started
After a few early events ( Rome , Barcelona , Utrecht ...), the big spring marathons are coming. This Sunday (15/04), you'll have the choice with both Paris (9.00) followed by Rotterdam (11.00). The Paris marathon is covered by Eurosport and the Rotterdam marathon will be covered by NOS and RTV Rijnmond (in the afternoon). A better idea might be to go to Rotterdam and enjoy the nice atmosphere along the road. The weather will be mild and shiny, and it could be nice to go and support the runners after your Sunday morning jog ^_^
In 10 days (22/04) comes London and its terrific coverage on the BBC (5 hours of live coverage).
You can be sure you will sign in for a fall marathon after watching all those athletes running!
Core stability: a further key to healthy running
Have you ever heard about core stability? If not, this is the time to give it a try.
When you run, you don't only use your legs. Your upper body, your pelvis and your hips are also working hard. There is no good running without good core stability because you need a need to keep in balance to avoid injuries.
It might be wise to add some core stability sessions to your training, and the good news is that the Jogging Club will propose core stability courses (as soon as we find a room for it). More info will come soon on a dedicated flyer.
