Plaspoelpolder bedrijvenloop

On Sunday the 8th of June, was held the Plaspoelpolder bedrijvenloop. We would like to thank all runners for the participation to the PlasPoelPolderloop. It was a very successful participation of the EPO team. The weather and the organisation were also great. All results and some videos can be found here. All runners were happy and finished in very honorable times. We are proud to inform you that Mr Pál Kis won the 5K run.

Plaspoelpolder Bedrijvenloop 2008 - Eine Veranstaltung für alle Arbeitsnemer in Rijswijk

Blasmusikanten in gelben Holzschuhen begrüßten die Teilnehmer und Besucher des 3. Plaspoelpolder Bedrijvenloop. Er fand am Zonntag 8 Juni um 11 Uhr statt auf dem Vereinsgelände des Hockeyclub Rijswijk (HCR) am Langen Kleiweg 106. Der bestens organisierte Lauf mit Distanzen über fünf, zehn und 15 Kilometer führte über eine fünf Kilometer lange Strecke durch den Elsenburger Bos. Für Kinder gab's einen Lauf über 750 Meter auf dem Gelände des HCR.

Elio Lo Conte mit der Unterstützung vom Amicale Jogging Club verkündigte diese Veranstaltung. Fünf Läufer (mit EPO-AMICALE shirts) vertraten das Patentamt;

dies taten sie jedoch mit gutem Erfolg. Vor allem ist Pál Kis zu nennen, der die Medaille als schnellster Läufer über fünf Kilometer mit nach Hause nahm. Die Ergebnisse der Läufe sind zu finden auf:

Das gut besuchte aber keineswegs überlaufene Ereignis wurde von BMW, Shell und Mn Services finanziell unterstützt, so dass Teilnahme und Verpflegung kostenlos waren. Kinder waren mit Hüpfburg, Bällebad, Popcorn und Pommes bestens unterhalten und versorgt. Besonders angenehm: Die Läufer konnten nach dem Lauf ihre strapazierten Muskeln zwei versierten Masseuren anvertrauen. Also ein rundum gelungenes Ereignis in entspannter Atmosphäre!
Auch im nächsten Jahr soll der Plaspoelpolderloop wieder stattfinden. Die Läufer des EPO können ihn wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

PS: It would be nice if the EPO will also officially participate in the organization of the event, or at least sponsor it, next year. This is certainly an excellent opportunity to be better known among the local community.

Kidsrun and Patentrun on Wed 25/06/08

The date of the famous Patentrun is approaching. For the first time, we will also organize a Kidsrun which will start before the Patentrun. We kindly ask you to be aware of the children when warming-up or coming to the start/finish area.

This year some surprises are awaiting the runners. The little changes should make this experience an even better one. All info about the event is available here.

On-line registration is open on the AJC website.

The hand out of the starting numbers will start on Wednesday 18/06. Two extra days have also been scheduled on Monday 23/06 and Tuesday 24/06. Like previous years, you can pick-up your starting number at the entrance of The Hinge restaurant from 12:00 to 14:00.
A scouting tour to discover the track will take place on Thursday 19/06 at 12:00. Come in your running gear and join one of the groups that will run the track with you. Meeting point: EPO sports center entrance tennis courts side.
