Run4Fun and core stability course resumed

The cold season has arrived. Days are shorter. Routine is back and it's more and more difficult to find motivation. Don't fall into winter depression. Come and join us for the core stability training (Mondays at 12:30 in the yoga room) and Run4Fun Thursdays (12:00, sports centre, car park entry). You'll benefit from the enthusiasm of the group and introduce diversity in your training. All levels are welcome. More info about the core stability course here and Run4Fun here.

Marathon season: support your colleagues

It's fall. And with it come the major marathons. Some of our colleagues have scheduled one or more races this season. You can find a list on the race registry on our website. Don't forget to support and congratulate them.

Marathon world record: are we getting close to see a sub-2-hour marathon?

As you probably know, Haile Gebreselassie has (AGAIN) broken the marathon world record in Berlin on 28/09 with the amazing time of 2:03:59. There are many speculations on how fast he can go and many more speculations on the chances to ever see a runner running a sub-2-hour marathon. For the curious of you, I highly recommend reading the related post on the terrific blog, the science of sport, written by 2 scientists passionate about endurance sport in general and endurance running in particular.
